Police solve temple cash theft, one held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 29:Police have claimed to work out a theft case after it arrested a person who burgled cash more than Rs 30 thousand from a temple in Bishnah area. According to police sources, on the intervening night of July 27 and 28 a person barged into the room of priest of Shiv temple situated at Cremation Ground Chorli, Bishnah and stolen away cash worth Rs 33,654. Acting upon the complaint, police registered a theft case against FIR No. 106/2011 under section 457, 380 of Ranbir Penal Code and investigation was initiated. During investigation a suspect identified Parveen Kumar son of Kali Dass of W. No. 12, Bishnah called at Police Station for questioning. During his sustained interrogation, Parveen confessed to have committed theft and disclosed that he has stolen Rs 33,654 from Pujari room in Cremation Ground (Shamshan Ghat) Chorli, Bishnah. The entire stolen cash was recovered from his possession, sources said adding that further investigation is on.
