Move to restore pre 1953 position concern for nationalist forces
7/29/2011 11:19:50 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 29: Nationalist forces will fight tooth and nail any move to restore 1953 position which gives more concessions to the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The government's tactical understanding with groups inimical to the unity and integrity of the country is fraught with dangerous consequences. Sources reveal that the powers that be are seriously contemplating to restore 1953 position to Jammu And Kashmir State. This exposes the state and central government's policy of surrender before anti national forces.
Delhi Samiti President Rakesh Koul while interacting with groups of people at Jammu vehemently opposes the move and asked the people to be ready for nationwide struggle against restoration of 1953 position. Appointment of interlocutors with fixed agenda to grant more concessions has made things already clear. Recently Wajahet Habib-ullah during his interaction with prominent KPs and other Jammu Kashmir residents at Delhi discussed the issue and it is believed that he is on a mission motivating the people opposing the move. Activation of back channel diplomatic initiatives and visible initiatives of Kashmir Committee under Ram Jeth Malani clearly indicate that something is being cooked.
PDP also held Parleys with some KPs at Delhi to get the support for solution of Kashmir issue by granting more concessions. This is a cause of concern for nationalist forces.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal is deadly against granting such concessions. They feel this will encourage the anti national elements and pave way for larger disintegration of the country.
BJP has already made its intentions clear, the party has launched nationwide campaign against granting more concessions to the state. Dogra Liberation Front, Shiv Sena, Roots in Kashmir and other nationalist organization are opposing the move.
