Mc Dollars XI lifts JK Secular Cup | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, July 30: Jammu and Kashmir Secular Cricket Tournament concluded last evening on a thrilling note by players and organizers. The tournament was organized by Secular Club wherein all the cricket clubs of city of temples participated. Minister of State for Power Development Department (PDD) Shabir Ahmad Khan was the chief guest and senior Congress leader Vikram Malhotra was guest of honour on the occasion. While addressing on the occasion both the leaders stressed upon youth to shun addiction of toxic items as these could prove disastrous for health, instead develop interest in games to save health and earn name and fame for themselves as well as for your state. Vikram Malhotra presented trophy to winning team and also gave away prize of Rs1100 to cheer boys who danced during the tournament. Final fight was between Mc Dollars-XI and Aircel-XI. Mc Dollar-XI proved its iron over Aircell-XI by defeating it in 9.3 overs by 5 wickets to achieve target of 63 runs in 12 over schedule. Vikram Malhotra specially extended greetings to Muslim brethren for the month of holy Ramzan in advance and wished that this holy month would bring peace and tranquility in the state and country. Chief Organizer, Shafqat Khokhar, organizing secretary Mohd. Farooq Salaria and convenor Sheikh Amjad Ali along with all players of two teams were present on the occasion.
