12th class student stabbed by two youth | People hold protest against doctors' alleged negligence | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 30: In a shocking incident, a 12th class student of Shiksha Niketan School, Jeevan Nagar, was stabbed to death by two motorcycle borne youth here today in Shastri Nagar under the jurisdiction of Gandhi Nagar police station. The deceased has been identified as Sukhveer Singh son of Inder Pal Singh of Bishnah. Old enmity between the victim and assailants is stated to be the cause of the gruesome killing, said police sources. Sources said that two students of Shiksha Niketan School Iqbal Singh and Sukhveer Singh were on their way to attend coaching classes in Shastri Nagar based tuition centre when they were intercepted by two motorcycle borne youth where they had verbal duel with them. The brawl took ugly turn when the motorcycle borne youth repeatedly stabbed Sukhveer Singh in the abdomen that too in an ever busy area and fled from the spot leaving him in a pool of blood. After the death of the youth people held protest demonstration against doctors alleging negligence on the part of doctors claimed his life. Bleeding profusely, Sukhveer was rushed to the GMC&H for treatment where he succumbed to injuries while police arrested Iqbal for questioning. Sources with in police department informed that on the disclosure of Iqbal, police have arrested one stabber. His identification has been established as JP Singh of Bhor Camp. Raids were on in Simbal Camp area to arrest the second stabber till late hours. |
