| GDC Udhampur organizes programme on “anti-ragging laws” | | |

Udhampur, July 30: In order to spread awareness regarding curbing the evil of ragging in Educational Institutions among the staff and the students, the NSS units of College of Govt. Degree College (Boys) Udhampur organized legal literacy class on “Anti-ragging Laws” in collaboration with Tehsil Legal Services Committee Udhampur today in the college campus.
Kamal Sharma, senior Prosecuting officer, Udhampur was the resource person who delivered detailed and informative lecture focused on anti-ragging laws. He explained in detail how these laws came into existence and what are the responsibilities of the educational institutions in eradicating the menace of ragging.
Earlier the programme began with the welcome address of Tara Nath, senior most faculty member of the college.
Udhey Bhanu, NSS program officer briefly explained the history of the origin of menace of ragging. The lecture was attended by staff members, NSS Programme officers, NSS volunteers and students. Vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Suresh Kumar Dogra NSS program officer.
