4.4 magnitude quake rocks Kashmir | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, July 30:
An earthquake of moderate intensity today rocked the Kashmir valley, including summer capital Srinagar, forcing people to rush out of their houses in panic. Head of the Disaster Management in Kashmir, Aamir Ali said that the earthquake of 4.4 magnitude occurred at 2: 38 in the wee hours today. People rushed out of their houses in panic and took shelter in open spaces. Ali said its epicentre was in Tajikistan. There was no immediate report of any loss of life or damage to property, he said. This is the second time tremors rocked Kashmir during the past three days. On July 27, 4.6 magnitude with epicentre in Hindukush mountains in Afghanistan rattled Kashmir.
