Employees demand restructuring of urban development department

JAMMU, July 30: Jammu and Kashmir Urban Development Employees Association has demanded re-structuring of urban development department and revival of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC).

Association has further demanded implementation of reservation rule and special quota in favour of SC/ST/OBC as per State Reservation Rule act.

They have also demanded regularization of daily wagers, contractual and consolidate daily rated workers.

Implementation of central government pattern system as this department is implementing centrally sponsored schemes.

In the meeting the leaders and executice members of both the provinces showed resentment against the state government for not implementing t the party of 6th pay commission including arrears in two installements in cxash and also rejected the road map of thye state government.

The members also discussed the future course of strategy for trade union scenario on principle based unity at single plate. The members also thanked the three factions of EJAC to come at one single platform to achieve the target.

The members’ also whole heartidly supported the call given by Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) on August 5-6 and also appealed to all the state government employees to make the strike a grand success.

This who were present in the meeting included Muhammad Ashraf, Bharat Bhushan, Archana Bhat, Tina Sharma, Ruby Dutta, Sujjad Ahmed, Mushtaq Ahmed, fayaz Ahmed, Natrinder Kour, Irshad Bibi, Rohit raina, Dwarka Nath, Kuldeep Sjharma and Raj Nath Koul.
