Workers rebut allegations against Tarigami’s aide

JAMMU, Jul 31: Chenab Hydro Power Projects workers Union in its specially conveyed meeting at its Head Office Kishtwar have took strong note over defaming its General Secretary Javed Ahmad Zargar by impersonators and vested interests.
The meeting was held under Presidentship of Abdul Subhan Lone, President Chenab Hydro Power Projects Workers Union Kishtwar and attended by large number of workers, basis as well as executive members of CHPPWU in which several points were discussed, and threadbare discussions were held about the present scenario.
The workers in one voice strongly condemned the news which has been managed by some vested interests by misusing name of union and falsely impersonating as CHPPWU’s designators. The speakers highlighted the sacrifices of Javed Ahmad Zargar which he made for the noble cause of workers at Dul Hasti Power Project, Baglihar Hydroelectric Project and other power projects of the stat.

He also managed implementation of labour policies and law in construction companies, provision of medical allowance, dust allowance and other benefits applicable to workers. They further said that persons spreading rumors and hatching conspiracy against dedicated pro-worker leaders right from beginning because Javed Ahmad Zargar stopped the unfair means in constructions companies like under table payments to these self interested persons.
Speakers also said that Javed Ahmad Zargar is epitome of poor workers. They have good respect and faith on him. They warned impersonators to restrain from such illegal activities and it was unanimously decided by the workers that they will identify these culprits and then drag them under law.
Others who spoke in the meeting included Nisar Ahmad Mir, Mushtaq Ahmir Mir, Haqnawaz, Mohd Abass, Raj Kumar, Riaz Ahmad Butt, Muzaffar Hussain Zargar, Javed Ahmad , Rajesh Sharma, Riaz Ahmad , Firdous Ahmad Tapal, and others.
