| Rather reviews revenue realization of Ist Quarter of current fiscal in EM & RE | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, JULY 31- Minister for Finance, Mr. A.R. Rather, today had a detailed review of revenue realization of 1st Quarter of 2011-12 in EM & RE Wing Jammu besides the functioning of PDD department at a high level meeting convened here today. Minister of State for Power, Mr. Shabir Ahmad Khan was also present in the meeting.
Among others, Economic Advisor to the Government, Jalil Ahmad Khan, Commissioner/Secretary PDD, Mr. Basharat Ahmad Dar, Director General Budgets Mr. Ravi Kumar Magotra, Development Commissioner, Power Mr. Manzoor Ahmed, FA & CAO PDD Mr. I. A. Wani, Chief Engineer EM & RE Shenaz Goni, SEs, XEns and other concerned engineers attended the meeting.
The meeting was informed that the PDD has fixed a revenue target of Rs. 898.5 crore during the current fiscal out of which, Rs. 108.7 crore has been realized during the first quarter against a revenue target of Rs. 224.6.72 crore.
The department has installed 2037 electronic meters during first quarter and 3181 meters installed as replacement of defective meters. The department plans to install one lakh meters during the current financial years whereas remaining 2.13 lakh meters would be installed next year,” the handout reads.
