| Multilingual Mushira organizes at JU | | |

NSS unit of Jammu University and Dean Students Welfare organized multilingual Mushira on the theme “National Integration and Communal Harmonuy” here at Environmental Sciences hall, JU.
In the jam-packed hall about fifteen poets from different regions of State in different languages recited their poetry in Dogri, Gojri, Kashmiri, English Verses, etc. and received big applause from the audiences.
The Mushira was presided by renowned urdu poet Prof. Zahur-ud-din while Prof. Devinder Singh, DAA was the chief guest on the occasion. Dr. Shohab Inayat Malik, Asstt. DSW and Prof Jasbir Singh NSS programme were the guest of honours.
Dr. Shohab Inayat Malik in his introductory remarks threw light on the aims and objectives of the programme. He said that NSS Volunteer could play a vital role in building the nation. Dr. Jasbir Singh presented the formal welcome address and appreciated the steps taken by Hon’ble VC to promote the cultural and literary heritage of Jammu at national and international level.
Prof. Zahur-ud-din lauded the role of organizers for organizing such type of prestigious function and it is the need of the hour to promote poetry in younger generation that can spread love and unity forcefully.
Those who recited their poetry in the function were Farhad Ahmed Siddiqi, Maharaj Krishan, Daya Ram, Sanjeev Bhasin, Amien Banhali. Prof. Nusrat Chowdhary, Sham Talib, Vijaya Thakur, etc
