Two week long EDP on Tourism commences at GDC Kishtwar | | | Early Times Report KISHTWAR, August 1: Two week Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) on Tourism under Seed Capital Fund Scheme (SCFS) organized by Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) in collaboration with Government Degree College (GDC) Kishtwar commenced at GDC Kishtwar. This was to enable the unemployed educated youth of the adjoining area to reap the benefits of SCFS. The EDP is the first in the series of 57 EDPs which the Institute is conducting in collaboration with the Degree Collages so as to put across the message of the SCFS to the wide audience and introduce the Scheme in far flung and backward areas across the state. The EDP was inaugurated by M H Malik, District Development Commissioner Kishtwar. Speaking on the occasion, Malik emphasized the importance of tourism and the essential need to learn and understand the opportunities in the sector in the area. Vishal Ray, JKEDI Course Coordinator delivered the welcome address on the occasion. ADDC Kishtwar, Professor Ramesh Chandra, Principal GDC, Masarat Matto, Nodal Officer GDC also interacted with the participants. 41 participants attended the programme.
