Elevates 13 executives as presidents, 11 as vice-presidents | JK Bank upgrades zonal offices | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, Aug 1 (KNS): J&K Bank has upgraded zones having business volume of Rs 10000 crore and above and shall hence forth be headed by Executives of the rank of Presidents. The decision was made today by the Chairman and CEO of the Bank. It may be mentioned that the candidates’ performance was apprised by a committee of the Board headed by the Chairman of the Bank, Mushtaq Ahmad in the second week of July. In this regard the Bank has promoted 13 Vice Presidents to the posts of President. Those elevated as Presidents are Madan Lal Gupta, Raja Abdul Latif, Mohammad Afzal Khan, Bashir Ahmad lone, Om Prakash Sharma, Fazle Mehboob Gani, Vagish Chander, Abdul Hamid Banday, Shafat Banday, Meera Jamwal, Roop Krishen Shah, Surjeet Singh and Abdul Rouf Bhat. Commenting on the decision, Chairman and CEO Mushtaq Ahmad said, “It is a part of our larger HR review wherein we are looking at ensuring the efficient HR personnel at all levels of decision making while keeping pace with rapid expansions in business that we are undertaking simultaneously. The decision has been made with a view to improve operational efficiency of the large sized Zones through faster decision making and for ensuring achievement of ambitious business targets set for the Financial Years 2011-12 and 2012-13.” Meanwhile, eleven Senior Executive managers namely Syed Ashiq Hussain, Ghulam Qadir, Mohit Kumar Vij, Sohan Singh Bilawaria, Nishi Baru, Mohammad Ibrahim Wani, Abdul Rashid Sheigan, Zahoor Ahmad Khan, Vinod Kumar, Mohammad Yousuf Khosa and Inder Krishen Koul have also been promoted as Vice presidents of the Bank.
