Budha Amarnath Ji yatra: 1st batch to depart tomorrow

JAMMU, AUGUST 01- Minister for Health, Horticulture and Floriculture, Mr. Sham Lal Sharma today inaugurated Shri Budha Amarnath Yatra by liting jyoti at Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas.
Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Dr. Pawan Kotwal, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Mr. Sanjeev Verma, Director Health Services, Jammu, Dr. Madhu Khullar, SSP, Jammu, Drug Controller J&K, Dr. Satish Gupta, Chief Medical Officer, Jammu, officers of Horticulture, Floriculture, Tourism, PDD, PWD, PHE and President, Shri Budha Amarnath Yatra Samiti, Mr. Surinder Jain and representatives of religious organizations and large number of Sadhus and pilgrims of Shri Budha Amarnath ji were present.
The Minister was informed that first batch Shri Budha Amarnath pilgrimage will depart from the base camp tomorrow at 6 a.m. for the border district of Poonch to reach there on the same day. They yatris will be accommodated at various places. The Budha Amarnathji Yatra traditionally follows the route from Jammu to Rajouri and then to Poonch, Mandi Rajpura.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sharma threw light on various places of pilgrimage in the state and said that large numbers of pilgrims are thronging Shri Amarnath Ji, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi ji, Shiv Khori Temple, Reasi, and other tourist spots of the state. He said that the government is providing all out facilities to the yatris such as medicare, transport, electricity, security, sanitation, etc.
The Minister also inspected facilities at Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas and the langar being provided to the pilgrims.
