Maj. Manmeet Singh Memorail Public School celebrated annual day function here today.
The function was attended by a large gathering of prominent citizens including parents senior educationalists and senior army and police officers. MLa Gandhi Nagar Raman Bhalla was the chief guest and gave away prizes to the students for their performance in academics and other fields Master Kabir Singh, Tavleen, Gurjot and Amrit were awarded the first prizes in academics.
Speaking on the occasion the MLA paid tributes to the brae soldier Maj Manmeet Singh who laid down his life in the service of the country. He advised the gathering to motivate their children to follow the foot steps of Late. Maj. Manmeet Singh and contribute in the security and development of the nation. He congratulated the management and staff of the school for their efforts in providing quality education and overall personality development of the students of the school. He particularly commended the role of the chairman Major Suchet Singh, for the charity scheme wherein some children of the weaker section of the society are being provided free education and other facilities in the school.
