Congress activists are being sidelined: Ishfaq | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Srinagar, Aug 2 (KNS): Alleging that Congress workers and activists were sidelined in Jammu and Kashmir, senior State Congress leader and district president Ganderbal, Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar, met the Congress high command in New Delhi. He said people in general and Congress activists in particular were being sidelined in all the affairs. “The party activist in Kashmir are sidelined and by the coalition government,” Ishafaq according to a statement of the party told Congress president Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi recently. “We are not demanding vehicles but our grievances should be addressed,” he added. The Congress leader said a party is dependent on activist and members whose grievances must be addressed. “No party can survive without workers,” he said. Other party leaders whom Ishfaq met were General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, Makhan Lal Fotedar and Mohan Prakash.
