| Minority leaders condemn Mehbooba’s house arrest | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, Aug 2 (KNS): A meeting was held by prominent leaders at PDP party headquarters under the chairmanship of Ashok Bhatt, Minority president J&K and the other leaders who were present in the meeting includes Nanaji Wattal, Shri S K Raina, and Shri Vinod Kumar.
In the meeting the leaders condemn the house arrest of Party President Mehbooba Mufti, and not allowing her to visit Sopore town of north Kashmir to condole and sympathizes with the family members of the youth who has been allegedly killed in police custody on Saturday evening. PDP president was prevented thrice to visit the family of victim which is undemocratic and has happened for the first time in the history of J&K state. It has sent shock waves among the common masses through out the state. The arrogance of the state government clearly shows its dictatorship or the Gunda Raaj in so called democracy which reminds Hitlerism that people of the state are not going to tolerate, if it continues, the leaders said.
