| Weather forecast during Aug 3 to 7 | | Amarnath Yatra | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, Aug 2:
As per the Meteorological Department’s weather forecast for August 3 to 7: the sky is expected to remain mainly clear on August 3 and 4, partly cloudy on August 5 , generally cloudy on August 6 and there is a possibility of generally cloudy sky with light rain/thundershowers on August 7 in the Kashmir Division.
Chief Executive Officer Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) R K Goyal, has once again advised all those who intend to visit the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Amarnathji to ascertain the obtaining weather conditions in the Yatra area before embarking on the pilgrimage. The details of weather forecast are available on the website of the Indian Meteorological Department, at (www.amssdelhi.gov.in).
CEO also urged all intending pilgrims to have themselves medically examined and no one with an orthopaedic problem, chest or lung ailment or any cardiac deficiency should venture to undertake the arduous Yatra, involving trekking upto 14,000 feet.
Goyal said that the Yatra to the Holy Cave Shrine is progressing satisfactorily on both the Baltal and Chandanwari routes since today morning.
