BJP only secular party in country: Jitendra Singh | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 2: Stating that BJP is the only secular party in the country, party State Chief Spokesperson and National Executive Member Dr. Jitendra Singh said that the political parties which call BJP communal or divisive are precisely the parties which themselves practice the politics of communalism and separatism to consolidate their vote bank and stay in power. Addressing the District Executive Meeting of Reasi District, Dr. Jitendra Singh who is also District Prabhari, said that Reasi is a role model district of secularism where people from all religions and creeds live in harmony and the BJP Distt. Executive of Reasi is also represented by members hailing from all communities and sects. He said that unlike Congress and NC, the BJP does not practice the politics for power but is primarily committed to uphold the ideals of Indian nationhood and patriotism. Dr. Jitendra Singh said that despite the unfortunate sequence of events within the state unit of the party in recent months, the BJP is still a party with a difference because it is only party which follows principles of inner party democracy and is not under control of a particular family. He called upon party leaders of Reasi to unite for development of the area and exposure of the corruption cases involving government functionaries. District President Kabla Singh said that there is shortage of teaching staff in government schools, posts in Health Centres are lying vacant, development is on papers only and the ministers hailing from Reasi district have been busy in minting money and doing nothing for the area. The Executive Meet included three sessions of which first one on “aim and vision of BJP” was presented by Sundar Sharma, second on “corruption” by Suresh Pandotra and third on “local issues” by Puranji.
