| J&K registers decline in import of pesticides | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Aug 3:- Jammu and Kashmir has registered a decline in import of pesticides for use in the farming sector in the state. As per the official figures, liquid pesticides imported from outside the state has shown decline from 163520 litres in 2009-10 financial year to 41461 litres in 2010-11 financial year.Similarly, pesticides in powder form declined from 15785.39 quintals in 2009-10 to 13697.59 quintals in last financial year, it said.There has also been a decrease in pesticides in the form of spray oils from 1371199 litres in 2009-10 to 942524 litres in 2010-11.
