| NABARD conducts Pre – PLP survey in Samba district | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 3:
Under the supervision of Chief General Manager NABARD Jammu, Samriti
Bhagat, AGM NABARD carried out an extensive tour of Samba District and contacted various district functionaries of Line Departments and
Bankers to assess and project potential-linked plan 2012-13 around which entire socio-economic developmental activities of the District will take place next year.
Talking to the reporter, Rohit Mehta, Lead Bank Manager indicated that looking behind the economic achievements during past 2 years, it will be beyond thinking that the targets of future plan remain unachievable under close monitoring by DDC himself. The unison developmental approach of Bankers and officials of line departments was appreciated by AGM NABARD so far as the efforts in achievement of set standards for the District are concerned, Mehta said.
The major contributors of RDD statistics were AC (Dev) and BDO’s under the control of R.C Sharma, ADC and Project Director D S Kotwal, PO- DRDA.
Reiterating current year projections of Rs 205 cr, AGM NABARD gave a rough estimate of Rs 227cr PLP projections for 2012-13 and was sure to get it approved in next DLRC Meeting to be chaired by DDC along with all district heads, including Bankers, represented by LDM and MP/MLA being special guests.
With a view to provide world class IT- Based Financial services, SBI Samba today inaugurated yet another ATM outlet for BSF personnel and Civilians at Border road Samba which was inaugurated by Ashok K Gupta, DGM SBI (J&K Module) in the presence of Virendra Singh, DIG- BSF (sector Indreshwar) HQ 68 Bn and IK Raina, Chief manager SBI Samba, LDM Mehta Said.
