Awareness camp on drug addiction | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, Aug 3: Three day an awareness camp on anti-drugs organized by Sarv Dharma Seva Samiti concluded here today. Camp was organized to spread awareness among the young generation about consequences of the use of drugs and encourage them to adopt the drugs free healthy life. On the occasion, large number of drugs addict youth consulted by the doctors to leave permanently the habit of drug using. On the concluding day, DC Kathua Zahida Khan was the chief guest and the GM of Chenab Textile Mill K.C Sharma was the guest of honour.On the occasion the president of the Samiti, Robin Sharma said that the Samiti was formed with a motive to spread awareness with respect to make a better society and to meet growing challenges of drug addiction among the youth. In the camp, Dr.Parmodh Gupta, and Dr. Neha Bhola, gave services free of cost for the welfare of youth. On the occasion Vishal Malagar, Navjot Singh Sidhu, Karan Singh, Kapil Sharma, Arun Mehta, Amandeep Singh and Pankaj Sony were also present. Meanwhile, an awareness camp on fall in female sex ratio was organised by RATHORE FOUNDATION in collaboration with life long learning centre, university of Jammu., at woodland school Chatta. Prof. Indira Rathore chairperson of R.E.R.Foundation, Prof. Reita Jitindera, Raj Sharma, Chattu and Palvi sachdeva interacted with a group of about 60 ladies on issues like fall in sex ratio. Nutritious and balanced die during pregnancy; need of self help groups and vocationa training for self employment. The response in the session was highly positive and delightful.
