NSUI launches anti-ragging campaign | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 4: National students union of India (NSUI) today launched anti- ragging campaign in Jammu University to address fear among the freshers. They also appealed to senior students not to subject the juniors to ragging. Hundreds of students under the banner of NSUI took out rally under the leadership of state General Secretary NSUI Fairoz Khan from Department of Student Welfare (DSW). Students were raising slogans “Band Karo Band Karo Ragging Band Karo” Ragging Ko Hatana Ha Students ko Bachana hai” “welcome freshers, say no to ragging” Addressing the students, Fairoz Khan State General Secretary NSUI J&K said that the role of senior students is very important to curb the menace. He added it has been rightly said that the end may not always justify the means. Rally was flagged off by Department of Students Welfare Dean N.K. Tripathi and Vinay Thusoo. N.K Tripathi urged the students that they seniors students to welcome the freshers and say no to ragging, he further said that Jammu university has good tradition of understanding between the seniors and juniors and that should he upheld. Coordinator NSUI President Law School Neeraj Kundan said that juniors should feel good and should be helped wherever they need our help.
Rally was organised by Fairoz Khan, Ajaz Choudhry, Ajay Kumar, Neeraj Kundan, Narender Kumar, Shail Singh Langeh, Jalander, Sarbjeet, Parv Grover, Sawan Gupta, Attish thappa,Sahil Gupta, Amit Sethi, Ajay Kumar, Narender Kumar, Gagandeep Sharma, Sahil Choudhary, Uttahm Magotra, Bhanu Partab, Joginder Singh and Subhash. |
