Speaker visits Sonawari, inspects development works | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Aug 4: Speaker Mohammad Akbar Lone today conducted whirlwind tour of Sonawari constituency, inspecting several developmental works under execution for augmenting economic infrastructural in the area.
He also visited Sumbal, Hakbara, Parribal and Banyari villages.Lone also inspected the pace of work on construction of Government Degree College (GDC) Sumbal and Parribal bridge coming up at a cost of Rs. 13.70 crore and 2.39 crore respectively.
The Principal of the Sumbal college apprised the speaker about the staff shortage, in reply of which Mr Lone said that the matter has already been taken up with the higher authorities and hoped its solution within a week.
Executive Engineer, R&B informed the Speaker that Rs. 45 lakh has been spent on construction work of fencing and part filling of ground of GDC Sumbal. Speaker directed the Deputy Manager, JKPCC to speed up the pace of work on all ongoing works and complete the construction work of first floor of the college building during current fiscal. He also directed him to speed up the construction work of Parribal Bridge and complete the same by the end of September. |
