Cabinet creates 2,642 posts of Agri Extension Assistants | Policy for regularization of R-e-Z approved | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Aug 4: State cabinet which met here today under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has approved the policy for the regularization of Rehbr-e- Zirat candidates.
It also okayed creation of 2,642 posts of village agriculture extension assistants (VAEA) in the pay band of Rs. 9,300-3,4800, with grade pay of Rs. 4200; 881 in the first phase, 881 in second and 880 in the third and final phase. However, these posts shall be utilized for the regularization of the eligible/selected Rehbar-e-Zirat candidates w.e.f April I, 2014 (Phase –I), April I, 2015 (Phase-II) and April I, 2016 (Phase III).
Planning and Development Department shall provide plan funds for the initial two years in respect of each phase of the regularized candidates on account of their salaries.
The regularization process shall be implemented only after proper physical verification of Rehbar-e-Zirat candidates, engaged in the department presently. This would also include the verification of their degree certificates obtained from various universities and institutions.
The Cabinet also approved the appointment of Saleem Mohammad, KAS Settlement Officer, Jammu on notional basis to time scale of Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services w.e.f 23.9.1997 i.e. from the date officer /officers junior to him were appointed to the time scale of KAS for the purposes of seniority only, without payment of any arrears.
Meanwhile, It also accorded approval to the appointment of Muhammad Amin Khan, Ex Deputy Director, Hospitality and Protocol Department as Toshkhana Officer on contract basis, initially for a period of six months with effect from 01.08.2011 against an honorarium of Rs. 4000 per month plus telephone facility at his residence and TA/DA as admissible under rules. Cabinet also approved the amendment to Sub- Section 1 of Section 55 of J&K VAT Act 2005 read with Rule 59 J&K VAT Rules 2005.
It also approved Judicial Pay Commission -The J&K Subordinate Judicial Pay Rules, 2011 effective from 01.01.2006. Cabinet okayed payment of claim amounting to Rs. 16.46 lacs plus sales tax for re-imbursement to the J&K tourism development corporation limited on account of catering services provided to Raj Bhawan Staff during 1998-99.
