| Sentinels of Chenab to celebrate Van Mahotsav | | | Early Times Report
KHOUR, Aug 5: Sentinels of Chenab have decided to celebrate July,
August and September as Van Mahotsav months.
Keeping this agenda in view “Sentinels of Chenab” Brigade Commander
Brig. Anuj Bhalla has decided to celebrate July, August and September
as Van Mahotsav months. Ceremony commenced with Brig Anuj Bhalla
planting a sapling in the brigade premises, which was followed by
jawans of two battalions planting tree saplings n their areas.
Brig Anuj Bhalla said that planting trees not only stops global
warming but also soil erosion. He laid stress on the slogan “30 Trees
a Day”. Realizing importance of planting trees, soldiers of Rakhmuthi
station planted trees to make his surroundings greener. Brig Anuj
Bhalla also said that our work does not finish merely by planting
trees but its well being is also our responsibility.
