Cong leader concerned over sale of adultered milk | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 4: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has expressed concern over sale of sub-standard milk at Shanti Nagar Top Sherkhanian under the shadow of Jammu Municipal Corporation and State Drug Controller. Former Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Hukam Chand Sharma said that residents have repeatedly complained to Jammu Municipal Corporation and the Drug Controller but to no avail. He said that milk is being sold at Rs.20, Rs.25 and Rs. 30 per Kg. He said that in the absence of checking of adulteration in the milk by the concerned authorities, people of the area are facing a grave situation. While reacting over the claims of Jammu Municipal Commissioner, Hukam Chand Sharma said that Jammu Municipal Corporation has failed to carry out its duty in every field to protect the general public from such type consuming adultered food products food and milk items from the sellers in the city. Hukam Chand Sharma urged the Deputy Commissioner and Divisional Commissioner Jammu to personally look into the matter to save Jammuites from such type of the sellers and booked them under POTA also particularly in Top Sherkhanian, Shanti Nagar and Shiv Nagar Jammu.
