EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 4: All J&K Estates Employees Association Jammu Province has decided that the Estates Department employees will stay away from the proposed strike call given by Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) tomorrow and August 6.
In a meeting of the Association held under the Chairmanship of Prem Singh Bawa, the members said that the call is given by some Jammu based self-styled employees leaders
The meeting unanimously decided that the employee of the Estates Department will not support the strike on August 5 and 6. The decision has been taken in line with the policy announced by the GEJAC that until and unless a single platform at State level is formed participation in the strike is futile and is an attempt to further the cause of the self-styled leaders.
Bawa, Tilak Raj, Shambu Singh Samyal appealed the employees to work as usual and not get swayed by the false propaganda of some vested interests.
Meanwhile, all the offices in Udyog Bhawan Complex have also decided not to observe strike tomorrow and August 6.
Udyog Bhawan Employees Welfare Association said that it will abide by the decision of GEJAC.
A meeting of Udyog Bhawan Employees Welfare Association was held under the chairmanship of Ravi Singh Bhau to discuss further course of action in view of various statements issued with regard to the strike of the employees.
Speaking on the occasion A K Tandon, Rakesh Rampal, PS Dutta made it clear that the employees working in Udyog Bhawan Complex including the PSUs will not observe strike.
Working in the complex shall be normal and the Association clarify that it has nothing to do with the strike programme announced by a section of leaders. They however, appealed that better sense should prevail and all the trade Union leaders should come on the single platform of Government Employees Joint Action Committee and a consolidated and concrete programme should be announced unanimously.
