| Edu Minister’s son allegedly thrashes two people Police arrested him, 7 others | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
ANANTNAG, August 4: Anantnag police today lodged an FIR against the son of School Education Minister Peerzada Mohd Syed who allegedly beaten two persons ruthlessly.
Both injured persons shifted to District Hospital Anantnag in a critical position.
According to eyewitnesses, Uman Subahan son of Education Minister Peerzada Mohd
Syed during late night, allegedly under the influence of liquor along with a group of his seven other friends misbehaved with a lady in Gund Hakura, 9 kms away from District Headquarter, beaten two persons namely Ab Hamid Sheikh, an elected panch of the village and Ab Majeed Mir, whose house was also attacked.
After the incident took place in the village people came out from their houses and raised slogans against the Education Minister and his son that continued till Thursday.
People in the area protested against the incident and have demanded a strong action against him.
“He himself is thinking as CM, police so far has failed in taking action against him, we feel insecure as the person along with his three security persons and friends are roaming in the area and have made a Gunda Raj.” An angry protester told this reporter.
“Who has given him license to beat others, he may be the son of Education Minister but he should remember that we people have made him the Minister.” Ab Majeed Mir told this reporter over telephone
“The said person is using his father’s (Education Minister’s) black filmed vehicle with a beacon light, driving at full speed,” Aijaz Ahmad said adding thatsuch behaviour of the Minister’s son has confused the society as the Education Minster himself is a humble person respected by every body in the valley.
Locals also showed bullet to media persons that was used by Minister’s son to kill the person who was already beaten by him and his friends.
Police in order to maintain law and order in the area have lodged an FIR against the Minister’s Son under No. 271/2011/ u/s 147, 336, 427, 107/151 CRPC. Police have also arrested the son of Education Minister and his seven friends identified as Zahid Javid, Arif Ashraf, Shabaz Khan, Suhail Wani, Irshad Hussain and Junaid Budha. |
