Ten day internet workshop begins at GCW Parade | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Aug 5: Department of computer sciences of the Government College of Women parade is organizing UGC sponsored ten day computer/Internet basics workshop named "Computer Jyoti" in collaboration with digital matrix laboratories. Principal of the college Dr. Kiran Bakshi was chief guest. Speaking on the occasion Dr Kiran Bakshi in her speech said that this is the age of information technology and knowledge of computer and internet is must for everyone She said that computer has become a necessity these days. He motivated the trainees with his speech and asked them to take full advantage of the course offered and to make best use of it for betterment of their education. She appreciated efforts of Prof. Parveen Singh for organizing such workshops which help students to get practical knowledge of computers and internet. The expert from Digital Matrix Labs Amit Sharma showed the basic course work plan for next ten days and explained how this course will help them in their day today life. Earlier Prof Parveen Singh, HOD Computer Sciences in his introductory note welcomed the chief guest and experts from Digital Matrix labs. He told students that in this era of IT, the world has become a small networked village where one can gain maximum advantage, but the only criteria is one needs to have proper guidance and education. Comparing was done by Miss Monika Sharma and Neha Sharma of BCA second and BCA first year respectively.
