Villagers held massive protest at DH, Kathua | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KATHUA, August 4: A massive protest was held at district hospital Kathua by the villagers of village Chack Ram Chand of Kathua against the negligence of doctor and the district Kathua hospital administration due to which twenty five years old Vijay Kumar died when he was brought to hospital late night after snake bite. The protest was led by the family members of the deceased Vijay Kumar S/O Late Rattan Chand of village Chack Ram Chand Kathua and they accused the Dr. Sushil Kumar who could not give the proper and effective treatment to Vijay Kumar when he was brought to the district hospital Kathua after snake bite at midnight. They said that when the patient was taken to the district hospital there was no hospital employee and the doctor was also sleeping and he came out after very long time and after some time Dr. Sushil Kumar referred the Vijay Kumar for GMC Jammu but the patient died on the way near Samba. The resented villagers and family members organized a massive protest which was summed up after the intervention of Kathua police under the supervision of DSP, Daljeet Singh and SHO BS Manhas. On the occasion the former power minister, Babu Singh also joined the protest and demanded the effective compensation and government employment to the family member of deceased who have died due to the negligence of doctor and the lack of proper and effective facilities in the district hospital Kathua. Keeping in view the genuine demand of the resented people the director health took immediate action and suspended Dr. Sushil Kumar.
