| Jugal Bhor-Camp Model Village takes stock of Dev Works | | | Jammu, Nov 30 Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Mr. Jugal Kishore Sharma today visited Bore Camp Satwari where a Model village is being developed and took stock of the works under construction. On the occasion “Dehi Majlis” was also held to prioritize the works to be executed. The Minister was accompanied by MLA Mr. Raman Bhalla, Secretary Rural Development, Director Rural Development, Additional District Development Commissioner Jammu, Assistant Commissioner Development, RDD. Addressing the gathering the Minister said the government is determined to provide all basic amenities of life to the people for which he sought the cooperation of people. He said cooperation of people is not only required for strengthening the hands of the government but also to play active role in execution of works in their respective areas. He said they should involve themselves in monitoring of these works. With this, he said, utilization of funds in right perspective and use of standard construction material will be ensured. Responding to the demands projected by village heads and Members of Development Committee, the Minister announced 10 dwelling houses under IAY for BPL families of Bore Camp to be identified by the local people in consultation with the concerned MLA and construction of two bridges over the nallah at the selected places providing better connectivity to R S Pura and Miran Sahib. Mr. Raman Bhalla also spoke on the occasion and espoused with demands of the people. He said maximum population of the village comprises of BPL and displaced families and need facilities under different schemes of Social Welfare and Rural Development Departments. He said provision of pension for handicaps and other physically challenged persons would also be given sympathetic consideration. He further said that for exploiting talent of local youth in different sports activities, a stadium and a public park would be constructed at the earmarked places. |
