| Centre for technological solutions inaugurated | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Aug 5: Dhruva Centre for Technological Solutions was inaugurated by GOC-in-C Northern Command Lieutenant General K.T.Parnaik at Udhampur.
Centre has been conceptualized as a hub for finding pragmatic solutions for the needs of the Army units by making use of latest technology prevalent in the world. Speaking on the occasion, the Army Cdr brought out the relevance of technology in the current day scenario of rapid modernization and transformation.
He appreciated the ongoing efforts and called upon all present to actively participate with innovative ideas. He expressed his appreciation and brought out that Dhruva Centre for Technology Solutions has been conceived on a sound foundation to enable solutions in a structured approach of adaptation, transition and knowledge management. He exonerated all present to actively participate in correctly defining the challenge and thereafter, associating through the iterative process of product-refinement, trials and utilization.
Lt Gen IJ Singh, AVSM, VSM, Director General of EME who was also present on the occasion complemented the team for establishing a pragmatic facility in the form of single-pt solution centre for addressing all tech challenges in the Northern Command. He extended his best wishes for the successful sojourn of the Centre to live up to the expectations with which it was conceptualized.
Speaking on the occasion, Major General Shyam Shrivastava, MGEME Northern Command, who had conceptualized the idea of such a centre, welcomed all present and apprised them of its capabilities. The inauguration ceremony was followed by a display of large number of creative ideas and innovations from all units.
