| Doc suspended as youth dies due to snake bite in Kathua | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 5: A doctor was suspended after a youth bitten by snake allegedly died of doctor’s negligence in a hospital of Kathua district.
"One Vijay Kumar, 25, son of Rattan Chand, resident of village Chak Ram Chand near Kathua was admitted in hospital due to snake bite," police sources here today said. They said the family killed the snake and had also brought the reptile to the hospital.
"As the hospital staff led by Dr Susheel Kumar allegedly mishandled the case and referred the victim to Jammu, he died on way," police added. The family members lodged protest over negligence by the doctor following which action was taken and the medico was suspended and enquiry ordered.
