| Students inculcating scientific temperament is the need of time- Manjeet | | | Jammu, Nov 30 MOS for education S. Manjeet Singh has stressed the student community to inculcate scientific temperament as it is imperative and need of time in the present day fast changing scientific world. He said that the advent of internet and satellite communicate have made the world a global village. The Minister was addressing a valedictory function of 2-day science exhibition at Government Girls High School Gandhi Nagar organized by DIET Jammu in which students of 127 schools of Jammu district participated. Referring to tele-medicare facilities, the minister said that science has made tremendous progress in many ways. He said it was wonderful and amazing that surgery in one part of the country could be made possible by consulting a specialist in another part. S. Manjeet Singh stressed upon the teachers to inculcate a sense of research among the students so that they could not only earn good name for the educational institutions they belong to but for the state also. He asked the students to work hard as they have to compete in various fields at national and international levels. Appreciating the efforts of DIET, the Minister asked them to conduct such science exhibitions on state and national levels which would bring the student community together and work with more dedication. He said such exhibition would provide opportunities among the students of various areas to understand their culture and knowledge. Earlier, the Minister inspected science models installed by the schools students in the exhibition and express satisfaction on it. The minister also gave away prizes among the best-adjudged students in the science exhibition.
