| Census-2011 report presented to Governor | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Aug 5: Director of Census Operation, Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Ahmad called on N. N. Vohra, Governor at Raj Bhavan here today and presented to him a copy of the Census-2011 Report on provisional population totals of the state.
Director census operation briefed the Governor about the status of the various operations carried out and those presently underway within the aegis of the Census-2011. Governor stressed the high importance of the entire work of preparation of Identity Cards being commenced timely and completed within an envisaged schedule. Governor urged Ahmad to see that all departments were furnished copies of the census report so that the basic village/town wise data could become the basis of all future planning. |
