| No hike in water tariff in rural areas: Govt. | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Aug 5: An official spokesman today clarified that there is no change in the water tariff being charged from consumers of rural areas.
He said a slab of 40 litre per soul per day is being proposed in these areas which won’t be metered in the first place. Spokesman said that a slab of 500-600 litres per day per family has been proposed in urban areas where annual tariff has been hiked to Rs. 800 per year. |
