| Appointment of Special PP in Criminal cases | | HC issues notice to Secretary Law Dept | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, August-05 (JNF):- The High Court today issued notice to Secretary Law Department in a petition seeking guidelines for appointment of PPs in criminal cases.
In a petition filed by Manju Gulati seeking
direction to the respondents to disclose the policy/ guidelines of the
appointment of Special Public Prosecutor in Criminal Cases and also
sought the indulgence of the High Court to fix guidelines for
streamlining the appointment of Special Public Prosecutor in Criminal
Cases.
Justice JP Singh of Jammu & Kashmir High Court Jammu Wing
after hearing Vaibhav Gupta for the petitioner whereas Additional
Advocate General Mr. Gagan Basotra for the State, issued notice to the
Secretary J&K Law Dept to file affidavit within four weeks spelling
out the Govt policy for appointment of Public Prosecutors and Special
Public Prosecutors for session Trial. JNF
