Qazi for cooperation between management, employees

Underscoring the need for close cooperation and coordination between management and employees of State Forest Corporation, the Minister for Forests, Environment and Housing and Urban Development Qazi Mohammad Afzal said that the coordination will help streamline the functioning of corporation and make it profitable.
Qazi Afzal was speaking at an Annual Award Ceremony function organized by Jammu and Kashmir State Forest Corporation Employees Welfare Society Jammu here today.
Minister of State for Forests Mr. Ajaz Ahmed Khan was the Guest of Honour on the occasion.
Qazi Afzal said that manpower within the various sections of corporation and other forest departments are precious and important and form backbone of the public sector organizations. He said that the coalition government have initiated numerous steps for the preservation and conservation of forests.
The Minister stressed upon the employees to work with further zeal, devotion and responsibility by keeping the interests of people in consideration. Qazi Afzal urged the concerned authorities of Forest Protection Force to deal with timber and other forest products smugglers with iron hand. He asked the members of the welfare society to bring all employees with the ambit of this society and hoped that in future the society would give meritorious awards to more and more employees children in future.
He directed the Managing Director, J& K State Forest Corporation to earmark some financial assistance yearly for the Welfare Society.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister of State for Forest Mr. Ajaz Ahmed Khan said that the green gold is the precious asset of our state adding it is the duty of all of us to look after and make judicious use of it.
Mr. Ajaz urged upon the employees of the State Forest Corporation to work jointly with the forest department for plantation of de-graded forests. He said that the de-gradation of forests has caused tremendous soil erosion giving way for floods and other natural clamity.
