| Jan thanks CM for Rs 10 cr for mini secretariat at Poonch | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, August 5: National Conference leader and MLA Poonch Haveli Ajaz Ahmed Jan thanked Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for sanctioning Rs 10 crore for construction of mini-secretariat at Poonch for which he had approached Chief Minister recently.
In a Press Statement, MLA Poonch said that he personally met Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and thanked him on behalf of the people of Poonch for releasing grant of Rs 10 Crore for mini-secretariat at Poonch.
He said that he had submitted this proposal before the Chief Minister recently and he had mitigated the demand within no time. He said that the mini-secretariat will help the people in long way as they had to approach government offices at different locations in Poonch.
“Now we will get a secretariat and all offices under one roof, Jan said adding that mini-secretariat will be a major development in the border district for the welfare of the people.
Meanwhile Jan has requested Chief Minister for uninterrupted power supply during holy month Ramadhan and Budha Amarnath Yatra. He said that people are suffering due to these cuts in Poonch and they may be given uninterrupted power supply.
He also demanded for opening of Anganwadi Centre so that many unemployed youth may get any opportunity of job. He said that government should also announce some employment package for the unemployed youth of Poonch district because Poonch people have suffered lot due to Indo-Pak wars.
He said that a special employment package is needed to boost their morale in the area.
Chief Minister after listening to the demands of the MLA assured him that he will try to fulfill them in future.
