| Working group to discuss NCF | | |

A working group comprising of ten officials and non-official members has been constituted to lay down the guidelines for preparing the sub groups to discuss and interact on various aspects of National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2005.
This was decided in the First State Core Group meeting of Jammu and Kashmir Education Department held under the chairmanship of Secretary Education Department Mr. K. M. Wani here the other day.
The meeting had threadbare discussion on the issues highlighted in NCF for its adoption in the J&K Education policy. It also decided to reduce the burden of books on the children, which affects their proper mental and physical development adversely. The sub groups shall submit their report to the chairman for discussion of the same in the next sub-group meeting to be held after one month.
Among others who were present in the meeting were Chairman Board of School Education, Prof. N. A. Ganai, Director School Education Jammu Mr. D. K. Vaid, Director School Education Kashmir Mr. Mohammad Rafi, Ex-Chairman Prof J. R. Rathore, Prof. N. N. Sharma, Ex- Secretary Board of School Education, Mr. V. K. Nanda, Retd. F. A. SIE Jammu, Mr. Basharad Ahmed, Retd Joint Secretary BOSE, Mr. G. N. Masoodi, Retd Principal SIE, Srinagar and Mr. Basharad Ahmed Dar Ex-Secretary BOSE gave their presentations on NCF-implementation in J&K and NCF 2005 Curriculum and assessment respectively. |
