| Mangat announces dispensaries for Samota, Taloor, Goran | | | Jammu, Nov 30 Reiterating the government’s resolve to provide basic infrastructure for public utility services in all the three regions of the state, Minister for Health and Medical Education Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma said proper advocacy by Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad has made it possible for the state to get highest ever financial support from the centre. He was addressing concluding session health education-cum-medical camp at Sumb near Samba today. Mr. Sharma said that government has taken several steps to improve the socio-economic condition of the state by initiating developmental works in every sector. He asked the people not to get carried by hollow slogans of self-rule and demilitarization which clearly indicate division and disintegration of the state. Responding to the demands Mr. Sharma said that when the process of delimitation of newly created districts will complete and infrastructure of district at Samba set up, the status of PHC Sumb will be upgraded to sub-district hospital. He announced opening of three dispensaries at Samota, Taloor and Goran besides an Ayurvedic dispensary. He said that on every Wednesday specialist from Samba and Jammu will visit Sumb PHC for specialize treatment and medical camp will be conducted after every three months and increased the bedding to 10 numbers. He directed Director Health Services to make necessary arrangements for filling up three vacant posts of pharmacists and ensure 24-hour stay of doctors and paramedical staff at the PHC Sumb. He also announced X-Ray machine and testing laboratory for the PHC besides construction of additional blocks along the existing building. |
