| ID celebration arrangements finalized | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, AUGUST 06- District Development Commissioner, Kathua Zahida Parveen Khan today convened a high level officers’ meeting to finalize the Independence Day, 2011 celebration arrangements.
SSP, Kathua, J.L. Sharma, Principal Police Training School, Kathua, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, Mr. Rohit Khajuria, District officers of different departments, Principals of Government / Private educational institutions were present in the meeting.
The meeting decided that the main function will be held at District Police Lines, Kathua where the VIP will hoist the national flag at 8 AM and take salute from the march past.
Over 47 contingents drawn from Police, CRPF, Forest protection Force, boys and girls NCC cadets and students from Government and private educational institutions will take part in the march past.
A cultural programme of 5 items depicting patriotic theme will be presented on the occasion by the students of various educational institutions.
It was finalized that the day will start with playing of Shahnai vadan by the Information Department in the wee hours from 5 AM to 6 AM from DC office and SSP office, Kathua.
It was also finalized that ‘AT Home’ will be arranged in the evening at Fish Farm Kathua.
The DDC impressed upon the officers to make fool proof arrangements for the celebrations well in advance so that the day be celebrated with enthusiasm, fervor and gaiety. |
