BCP hold protest against Delhi CM
8/6/2011 9:40:29 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 6: Bharatiya Chaitanya Party (BCP) organized a protest against the alleged acts of corruption committed by the Delhi Chief Minister Shiela Dixit as per the latest Comptroller and Auditor General's findings.

Protesters shouted slogans against Dixit demanding her resignation. They also burned her effigy.
State President of BCP Rohit Bali, said that CAG's finding clearly reveal that loss worth hundreds of crores has been caused to the taxpayers money in the name of making arrangements for the Common Wealth Games. Several tactics were adopted to indulge in this large scale corruption like bills inflated upto 900%, tender procedures flouted, acts of favoritism etc.
National General Secretary of BCP Shiva Sambyal, who was also present on the occasion, said that on one hand we have farmers in our country committing suicide due to extreme poverty and on the other hand these leaders are indulging in such large scale corruption which is eating up our nation like a termite. On one hand we have more than 50 crore of our people below the poverty line and on the other hand these leaders enjoy the most luxurious lifestyle by the public money.
It speaks volumes about the credentials of the present Congress party which despite the fact that scams after scam has emerged still continuing in power and still is coming up with such handicap Lokpal Bill to fight the corruption. This shows how much the moral fibre of the congress has declined. BCP wants to attract the attention of the people about the importance of JanLokpal Bill to fight corruption but now we have to reconsider whether we should demand the roll out of strong law to fight corruption.
