| Cong, BJP activists join PDP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Aug 6: Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) today received shot in its arm as some Congress and BJP workers besides others joined the party
In a meeting organized under the leadership of Vikram Singh, Girish Sharma, Pankaj Gupta and Sachin Sharma, around 20 Congress and BJP activists joined PDP.
While addressing the media persons, the youth, who joined PDP stated that the partial and irrelevant attitude of local MLA has forced them to quit their parties and join PDP. They further said that PDP is working for the upliftment of poor and needy people and is the only party we can rely for the betterment and upliftment of our area.
PDP leader Vikram singh while addressing the press expressed his heartfelt gratitude to new entrants to the party for showing faith in the working of PDP and also expressed satisfaction on the zeal and enthusiasm shown by the public present there.
Vikram Singh said, "Government is playing with the sentiments of the Jammu people. That's why the functioning of Central University of Jammu is being hampered unnecessarily." He added that it’s only Central University of Jammu that was not functioning however; all other Central Universities are blooming.
