Tickoo Cricket: Secretary XI Blues wins by 8 wkts | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, August 06: General Secretary XI Blues today registered a big eight wicket win over Chairman XI Reds in a low scoring game of the ongoing R C Tikoo Memorial Cricket Tournament at Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, here. Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, Chairman XI bowled out for 115 runs in 35 overs of the 40 overs game. In reply, Secretary XI chased the total in just 21 overs that too losing just two wickets. Aditya Pratap Singh was top scorer with 32 runs while Vijay Dogra contributed 29 runs to the team’s total. From Secretary XI, Behzad, Sameer and Amair Aziz did maximum damage to opponent batting line taking away three wickets each. Later, General Secretary XI romped home in only 21 overs losing only two wickets. Opener, Omar Nazir made maximum 44 runs and remained unbeaten. Nadeem provided good support to Omar contributing 18 runs. Amir was other main contributor with 35 not out. Bowlers of Chairman XI could not do well in the presence of some sensible batting by by Omar and Amir. Only Arshid and Aditya Pratap Singh took one wicket each
