| BJP organizes a plantation drive ‘ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU AUG 6: BJP State Secretary and Chairman Sanatan Dharm Natak Samaj Yudhvir Sethi, along with a number of various bazaar associations of Jammu old city, under took a plantation drive by planting over three dozens of saplings in JDA parking area at Purani Mandi.
Yudhvir sethi, while speaking on the occasion, with the growing population and construction of residential and commercial complexes, the trees have been cut as a result of which the green spots in the city has diminished.
Sethi, who has been undertaking the plantation drive for the last 3 years, said that to maintain the nature’s balance we all should plant atleast once in a year by considering it as social duty. He also appealed the social forestry department. To provide free saplings to all such individuals and organization which want to undertake this noble drive.
Besides Ward No. 10, former corporater Priya Sethi, old hospital road traders association chairman Avtar Singh, basic school bazaar association president kaka, Pahari Mohalla Bazaar Association president Anil Gupta , chairman Kuldeep Raj, Ram Aggarwal and Surinder Bansal, freedom fighter Chazu Bhagat, Dr. Krishan were also planted sapling
