JKAC demands opening of Govt Ayurvedic College at Jammu | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Aug 6: Jammu Kashmir Ayurvedic Congress (JKAC) has demanded opening of Government Ayurvedic College at Jammu without any further delay. Addressing a press conference here today, General Secretary, JKAC Dr Ashok Gupta said also demanded regularization of 95 newly opened ISM dispensaries, presently being managed on internal arrangement basis. Gupta sought provision of administrative staff for newly created districts, provision of non- gazetted staff for 45 single handed dispensaries and creation of two posts of B grade specialists in each district. He expressed its shock and anguish over the suspension of six Pharmacists for alleged dereliction of their respective duties. It is beyond any logic or comprehension to make them accountable for heinous crime of supplying Fungus affected drugs, which are not suitable for human consumption, he added. They have been made to suffer for the crime of others, as they are not involved at any stage with the process of purchase, procurement and verification of medicinal supplies. AJKAC demands high level inquiry into the scandal for omission and commission of all higher officers who are directly responsible for purchase and verification of Ayurvedic and Unani drugs.
