Employess under banner of JCC held demonstration | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, August 6: The Employees under the banner of Joint Consultative Committee gathered at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park and held demonstration against the state government for not full filling the pending demands of the state government employees. The committee highlighted that their demands include release of 6th pay commission arrears in two installments, regularization of all the daily wagers adhoc, contractual and need based workers, removal of pay anomalies of masters, clerical staff and other cadres, enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 years, and uniform the HRA at 20%. While speaking on the occasion the employee leaders said the government is not honoring its commitments and agreements done with the JCC leaders on 19/2/2009, 18/8/2009 and 14/4/2010. This is causing resentment against the government among the employees. The employee leaders said that government has enhanced the pay of MLAs, MOS and ministers from Rs.40000 to Rs. 90000 respectively, all the IAS,IFS, IPS officers and secretaries have drawn arrears of the sixth pay commission and only lower cadre employees are denied from their arrears. And the leaders also requested all the employees to unite to get their rights. In the demonstration S. Surjeet Singh, S. Parveen Singh, Pawan Singh, Amar Nath, Kuldeep Singh, and etc were present.
