KISHTWAR, August 6: The Social Reforms and Charitable Organization in collaboration with District Legal Services Authority Kishtwar organized awareness programme over Sex Ratio , and Save the Girl Child, in the premises of Ashiana Orphanage Kishtwar, which was presided over by M H Malik Deputy Commissioner and M L Manhas Principal District and Session Judge Kishtwar.
Chairman District Legal Services Authority was Chief Guest , whereas commander 9 Sector RR Kishtwar was guest of honour. On this occasion hundreds of Anganwari Workers, ASHAS, workers , adult female students of various schools colleges, female panch, sarpanches , religious scholars and prominent citizens besides huge gathering of audiences were present.
Welcoming the gathering and officers including Sanjeev Parihar said that it is alarming issue regarding noble decrease in sex ratio, in order to come out from this wax issue organizing of such programmes will definitely help to some extent.
The medical experts Dr. Ajay Kumar Gupta , C MO Kishtwar and Dr. Rekha Jadh Gynecologist of District Hospital Kishtwar elaborated all the pore and cones regarding the decline of sex ratio. The religious scholars including Farooq Ahmad Kichloo Imam Jamia Masjid Kishtwar, Kewal Krishan Sharma , Nusrat Begum Bagwan, ex. Vice President Municipal Committee Kishtwar, Sardar Gurcharan Singh, urged upon the general people to shun the discrimination with girl child.
Chairman Legal Services Authority Kishtwar ML Manhas Principal District and Sessions Judge Kishtwar, provided awareness about the legal rights of women, child marriage restraint act, PNDT Act, he also asked the voluntarily organizations, Health department, administration, police and judiciary working at District Kishtwar to ensure their best efforts to provide every possible protection of females, besides let the law enforcing agencies aware about sex determination tests if being conducted at any clinic, hospital or any place .
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, M H Kishtwar appealed to the people as well as NGOs and other allied agencies to curb this social evil in its real sense.
