Jammu, August 7: A Vaishno Devi pilgrim died of cardiac arrest at Katra base camp in mountainous Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, police here today said. Identified as Praveen, 72, son of Hari Dass, resident of Rajkot, Gujarat, died in hotel room yesterday when he along with the family was about to the leave for Shri Mata Vaishno Devi cave shrine, police here told UNI. They said he was immediately shifted to the Katra hospital but doctors declared him as brought dead adding, cardiac failure was the reason behind the death. His body was handed over to his family members after post-mortem.
